Authentication Options

The simplest way to connect HubSpot CRM is by using xpander.ai’s built-in authentication:
- Go to the Apps section in the sidebar of your xpander.ai dashboard.
- Select HubSpot CRM from the available integrations.
- Click Sign in with HubSpot CRM.
- Choose the account you want to connect and grant xpander.ai permission to access it.
- HubSpot CRM is now ready to use.

- Go to the Apps section in the sidebar of your xpander.ai dashboard.
- Select HubSpot CRM from the available integrations.
- Click Sign in with HubSpot CRM.
- Choose the account you want to connect and grant xpander.ai permission to access it.

Generate a HubSpot CRM API Key

Log in to your HubSpot CRM account.

Click on Settings (the gear icon) in the top bar of your dashboard.

In the sidebar, click on Integration.

Select Private Apps, then click Create Private App.

Enter a name for your app. In the Scopes tab, click Add new scope and grant the app access to the CRM services appropriate for your use case.

Click Create App.

Your access token will be available in the Auth tab of the newly created private app.
Integrate HubSpot CRM into xpander.ai
- Go to the Apps section in the sidebar of your xpander.ai dashboard.
- Select HubSpot CRM from the available integrations.
- Click Other auth options.
- Enter an Interface name, e.g., “xpander-hubspot-crm”.
- Select API Key as the authentication mode.
- Select Integration User as the authentication scope.
- Paste the HubSpot access token into the provided field.
- Choose Bearer as the Auth Type.
- Save the configuration.
Integration of HubSpot CRM into AI Agent
Once you’ve configured your HubSpot CRM account with the authentication option(s) described above, you can integrate it into your AI agent with xpander.ai:
- Go to the + sign located in the top right of the graph visualization of your xpander.ai agent.
- Select Apps.
- Choose HubSpot CRM with the same Interface name you configured in the previous section (e.g., xpander-hubspot-crm).
- Select the available HubSpot CRM operations that suit your use case.
Expose HubSpot CRM as MCP Server
Alternatively, you can also expose your HubSpot CRM account as an MCP server. To do so:
- Go to the Apps section in the sidebar of your xpander.ai dashboard.
- Select HubSpot CRM with the same Interface name you configured in the previous section (e.g., xpander-hubspot-crm).
- Click MCP Configuration.
- Enter the MCP configuration into the appropriate settings of the client app you want to use (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop, etc.).
