The app tells you, with a native notification, when:
  • A task finishes, with a short line of its result. Every conversation you started from the app tells you when it ends.
  • An approval waits for you. Choose Approve or Deny right on the notification.
  • An agent asks you a question. Answer with the notification’s buttons, or type in its reply field, without opening the window. This works while an agent is controlling your Mac too.
  • A task is waiting for your computer because the app is not connected (Waiting for your Mac).
  • A scheduled task ran without your Mac, because the app was not open when it fired. Choose Run now to run it again on this computer. See Scheduled tasks on your Mac.
  • An agent asks to use a folder. See Trusted folders.
  • An agent asks to use the browser, or is using the Omni browser. See Browser control.
Click a notification to open that conversation in the window. Nothing fires for the conversation you are looking at, and opening a conversation clears its notifications. While something waits for you, the menu bar icon carries a dot.

Turn them off

Turn Notifications off in Settings > Notifications to stop them all. Focus and Do Not Disturb apply as usual, and you can manage the app’s notification style in macOS System Settings > Notifications > Omni. Conversations that did not start in the app follow the same notification settings as the web bell.
